What I’ve liked about the playlists (and what has made me not stop (or be able to stop) the first video rolling onto the second and so on) is that I’ve been listening to them rather than watching them; the video playing on a hidden tab, while I get on with actual STUFF!. That works quite well if the playlist is well curated, but makes me think this would work as well with radio output too.

I’m sure a colleague of you have probably written about it elsewhere, but I think UGC around ideas would be really powerful as well. Like the stuff on plastics — loads of really interesting things kicking off there, which would benefit from a wider audience.
